Description:
Sam, aged 8, is interested in robots and wanted to animate a story where someone learns that they shouldn't be rude to robots. He wanted it to be simple but funny, "like a Beano story". He wrote his script during the lunchtime Film Club at school. He set up the stage at home and took 800 photos (with dad serving as shutter monkey) over two weekends, then edited the frames over several lunchtimes at school using Movie Maker. When these were done he brought the animation home to record and edit the voices on Adobe Audition, using the flanger function for the robot's voice. The music is from a 1970s Seeburg background music LP which he found on YouTube. We wrote to Seebug explaining what it was for and they wrote back to say they were happy to let him use it for the film.

Though the film itself is 2:51 in length, a 22 second clip is included in the credits, of him working on the animation. This is not part of the film, but was taken by Dad, to show Sam at work.
