Hints on How to Make a Film

Credits:
I filmed this at home over the Christmas holidays with my 8 year old daughter playing the budding film maker and my 5 year old son holding the wolf and moving rabbits and hats around. I added the soundtracks on over Spring Half term. We recorded our own sound effects including the scream and the wolf conversation and I dubbed my vocals over the top. The howling, creaking and music were all obtained from the excellent copyright free collection on the E2BN Myths and Legends sound gallery I found through the resources link on the FilmStarz website. The film was edited using Adobe Premiere 10.

Description:
I also tried to include some ideas on camera angles and continuity as these were the areas that I found hardest to explain. I have shown the film to the children at school, it especially helped them to understand the importance of continuity and they have started to use some of the ideas for camera angles in their own films; I hope it may be useful to other budding film makers also.
